$10,000 to Camp Sunshine Brings the Magic of Camp to 1,720 Children Fighting Cancer

For children with childhood cancer, some of the hardest days of childhood happen in hospital rooms. Thanks to a $10,000 donation from The Brothers Trust to Camp Sunshine, 1,720 children receiving oncology treatment got to experience something every kid deserves: the joy of camp through their Summer 2U Summer Program.

The funding went directly toward activity supplies, special events, and individualized activity kits - carefully designed so that even children in isolation, unable to leave their rooms, could still take part in meaningful camp experiences. For a child facing cancer treatment, a single afternoon of connection, play, or creativity can mean everything. This gift ensured that isolation didn't mean exclusion, and that the magic of camp reached kids exactly where they were.
