Every July, something wonderful happens across our 12 Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners market centers. Backpacks are filled with fresh school supplies. Hearts are filled with hope. And thousands of local children get to walk into their first day of school feeling ready, confident, and cared for.
This July, that magic happens again — and it's bigger than ever.
2,088 Children. One Mission.
This year, Backpacks 4 Kids will reach 2,088 children across Augusta, Greater Athens, Barrow Jackson, Braselton, Jefferson, Newnan, Buford, Snellville, Loganville, Monroe, Walton County, Peachtree City, Tucker, Dekalb County, Lake Oconee, Suwanee, South Forsyth, Stockbridge, Henry County, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County, and the surrounding communities we're so proud to serve.
For these kids, a backpack isn't just a backpack. It's pencils that mean they're prepared. It's notebooks that mean they belong. It's the quiet, powerful message that someone in their community believes in their future - before the first bell even rings.
A Legacy Over 20 Years in the Making
Since Kares 4 Kids began donating backpacks back in 2005, this single event has helped 34,144 children start the school year with the supplies and support they deserve. That's 34,144 stories of a child walking into class feeling seen. That's two decades of our Ambassadors, agents, and community partners saying, "We've got you."
Every backpack we fill is a small, tangible piece of our mission: We Will Positively Impact Kids Today and Strengthen Communities for Tomorrow.
Why This Matters So Much
Education is one of the greatest tools we have to change a child's trajectory. But for many families, even basic school supplies can be an unexpected financial strain. When a child shows up without what they need, it can affect their confidence from day one.
Backpacks 4 Kids removes that barrier. It says to every child who receives one: you matter, your education matters, and your community is behind you.
