Only 34% of Georgia’s children are proficient readers when they enter fourth grade. Kares 4 Kids and Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners are determined to change that - one book at a time.
Here’s what our market centers accomplished this spring through our Legacy of Literacy program:
• Barrow Jackson donated 841 brand new books to the Braselton Public Library System, benefiting 20,184 children
• Greater Athens donated 2,367 books to Books for Keeps, supporting children in their summer reading program
• Stockbridge donated 4,360 books to the McDonough Public Library System, benefiting the literacy of 78,480 children
• North Gwinnett & Sugarloaf donated 1,340 books to the Gwinnett County library system on March 3rd, improving literacy for 32,160 children
• Augusta Partners hosted a “Books and Bears” party, delivering both literacy and comfort to local children through donations to local charities
Total children impacted through books alone this season: over 130,000.
Every book is a door. Every reader has a future. Thank you to every KW agent, leader, and donor who helped open that door for a child in Georgia this year.
